VGH Guild Gives Significant Monetary Gift to VGH Foundation
Monroe, WA – The mission of the Valley General Hospital Guild is to support the needs of Valley General Hospital. Each year the guild raises money to support a variety of funding needs, including scholarships and the purchasing of materials and equipment for departments throughout the hospital. Once this money is raised, various departments make special requests for funding.
On November 30, at Valley General Hospital Board Meeting, the Guild presented a significant check donation of $15,000 to Valley General Hospital’s Foundation to help with the purchasing of an Emergency Department cardiac monitoring system after hearing a presentation by Jim Repnik, MD, VGH Foundation Board Member.
“For the members, it was not a question of donating or not, but a question of how much we should donate,” stated Brenda Rogers, VGH Guild President. “The members wanted to make a strong statement of support to the project.”
“This gift is really appreciated and is a tremendous commitment on the part of the Guild,” stated Harleen Hieber, Foundation President-Elect.
If you would like to make a donation or become involved in the hospital’s Foundation or Guild, please call Valley General Hospital at 360-794-7497.
