VGH Smoking Cessation Instructor Celebrated at AquaSox Game

Monroe, WA – The 12th Annual Tobacco Free Everett AquaSox’s game was held on Sunday, August 7, 2005. Snohomish Health District invited Kelly Rae Hajek, a Valley General Hospital community education instructor, to throw out the first pitch.

The event celebrated Kelly Rae, along with other community education instructors, having helped over 6,000 people quit tobacco use in the past 10 years.

Valley General Hospital is offering a smoking cessation course entitled Every Breath You Take and is taught by Kelly Rae. The class is every Tuesday, September 27 – October 11 and is from 6 – 8 p.m. This three-week smoking cessation program incorporates hypnotherapy, addiction education and determination. The fee is $50 and includes two tapes and a lavender bag. To register, please call the Community Relations department at 360-794-1411.
