VGH Foundation Announces Car Prize
Annual Hospital Fundraiser Offers Two for the Price of One

Monroe, WA – – Each year the Valley General Hospital Foundation hosts their annual Classic Car Raffle. Back by popular demand, this year’s winner will get two vehicles for the price of one. The automobile is an off frame restored flame red 1949 Chevy truck, era correct, three on the column six-cylinder 261ci engine paired with a “living large” 2006 Harley-Davidson FXSTS Springer Softail. One of a kind in vivid black featuring Paul Jaffe pipes, 1550 big bore kit, rejetted-carbs, Hi-flo air cleaner, skinny front tire and big 200mm rubber in the back with plenty of shiny chrome in between.

Tickets are only $10. There is a limited number of tickets to be sold. (Only 20,000 were printed.) “Our goal this year is year is to raise $200,000 by selling all 20,000 tickets. The communities support will help the Foundation reach its goal and therefore make funds available to the hospital,” states Foundation Manager, Lin McIlrath.

All proceeds fund various equipment, services and programs at the hospital that would go unfunded without the Foundation’s support. Such programs include uncompensated prescription medication, staff continuing education scholarships, the employee recognition program, and chaplain services. Last year’s Classic Car Raffle winner of a 1969 Corvette Roadster was Michael Dalton of Clinton, WA.

The truck and bike will be on display at Speedway Chevrolet in Monroe in June. Upcoming events the VGH Foundation will attend include: Sultan Shindig, Klahaya Days in Snohomish, ISRA Classic Car Show at Evergreen State Fairgrounds, and the Evergreen State Fair. The winning ticket will be drawn the last day of the Evergreen State Fair on September 4 at 6 p.m. on the Sponsor stage. The winner will be contact at the time of the drawing.
