Monroe, WA – Valley General Hospital’s popular smoking cessation program, ‘Every Breath You Take’, has helped many people quit the deadly habit of smoking in recent years. ‘Every Breath You Take’ is a Valley General Hospital community education course that is done through hypnosis and incorporates addiction education.

Feedback showed that participants wished the class series could have been a longer format. The local community educator, Kelly Rae Hajek, has responded to that need and is now offering a course that has longer individual sessions as well an extra night of class. “I was personally successful quitting smoking through hypnosis and there have been many benefits in my life through learning the art of ‘self hypnosis.’ This class teaches tools to reach that goal,” Hajek stated.

The next series will begin on May 9 and will be every Tuesday and Thursday for a two week period. (Class will be on May 9, 11, 16 and 18.) Class will be from 6 – 8:30 p.m. and be held at the hospital. The course fee is $100 which includes a two-side hypnotherapy tape or CD and a lavender eye bag for relaxation.
