Monroe, WA – Each year the Valley General Hospital Foundation hosts their annual Classic Car Raffle and 2008 marks the 16th anniversary of the event. “With this fun annual event, the Foundation is able to raise thousands of dollars to help fund much needed programs and services through generous donations,” states Sherri Williams, VGH Foundation President.

This year’s vehicle is an all time American Classic; a 1964 Satin Silver Corvette Sting Ray, super sharp frame-off restoration, matching numbers and under 80,000 miles. This Corvette comes with a 327ci small-block V8 365hp, four-speed manual transmission and red leather interior. Tickets are only $10. There are a limited number of tickets to be sold. (Only 20,000 were printed.)

All proceeds fund various equipment, services and programs at the hospital that would go unfunded without the Foundation’s support. Such programs include oncology patient comfort program, uncompensated prescription medication, staff continuing education scholarships and chaplain services. Last year’s Classic Car Raffle winners of a 1966 Ford GT350 Shelby Tribute were John and Stephanie Romack of Lake Stevens, WA.

The winning ticket will be drawn on September 1, 2008 at the Evergreen State Fair at 6 p.m. The winner will be contacted at the time of the drawing.
